Pottery offers a kind of focus and calm that’s hard to find elsewhere. Working with clay is physical, hands-on, and completely absorbing. The process itself—throwing, trimming, glazing—draws you in and gives space to think more clearly. That’s what first pulled me in, and it’s what keeps me coming back to the wheel.

There’s something really satisfying about making things that people actually use. I always come back to mugs—not just because I like making them, but because they end up in people’s daily routines. Drinking from a handmade cup might seem like a small thing, but I think those small moments can mean a lot.

In a world of fast, disposable objects, handmade work stands apart. It carries the imprint of its maker. It’s never identical, always a little irregular, and that’s where its beauty lies. I hope that when someone brings one of my pieces into their home, they feel the care, thought, and intention behind it—and that it becomes something they reach for again and again.
