The Organics Collection

I make small batches of hand-shaped and hand-thrown pottery from my studio at the bottom of the garden in Chester.  This range brings together the freedom of hand shaping with the precision of throwing. My hand-shaped work embraces irregular edges and soft forms that reflect the movement of the maker’s hand. The thrown pieces are clean and contemporary but still carry the quiet character of handmade. 

The materials play a big part in the feel of the range. I use two clays: a soft grey that’s often left partially exposed, and a second that’s fully glazed. Both are finished in the same soft white speckled glaze. The combination of glazed and unglazed surfaces makes the work especially tactile—there’s a kind of quiet pleasure in holding something that feels just right in your hands.

The Organics range is designed to be mixed and matched, whether you’re building a full table setting or just choosing a favourite mug. It’s flexible, practical, and considered. These are pots made for everyday use, for slow mornings and shared meals—things that add something quiet and good to your daily rhythm.
