Rachel Kay Ceramics
I make small batch hand-shaped stoneware ceramics with tactile, minimal forms that balance function and design.

I work from my small studio at the bottom of my garden. I’m drawn to the quiet, repetitive nature of hand shping and the connection that comes from using something made by hand.
-
My work is centred around tactility and connection. Hand shaped, organic and made with everyday use in mind.

I love the connection ceramics can create and I really value collaborating with other creatives. I’m currently working with Studio Taitt on RKCxST
This is me, usually holding pots and chatting ceramics. I love the slow, repetitive rhythm of shaping and smoothing clay. I’m always thinking about how a piece will feel and work, its weight, balance, and practicality. I live with my work in my own kitchen before it’s sold to make sure it functions well.
Made by hand
Working with clay is hands-on and absorbing. I make ceramics to be used, touched, and lived with. Objects that elevate daily routines.

The Origin Collection is a collaboration designed and crafted by Interior designer Saskia Taitt and Ceramicist Rachel Kay.
Our collaboration brings together Rachel’s experience as a ceramic artist and Saskia’s expertise as an interior designer.
We’ve combined a deep understanding of materials and craftsmanship with a strong sense of how objects feel and work within a space, to create a coffee cup collection that is not only beautiful, but that elevates the daily coffee ritual too.
Available to buy at R.I Home, a Homeware and Interior Design store in Knutsford, Cheshire, UK
